I suppose I could have entitled this post, "Selective Magic".  However, these two words do not quite capture the sentiment I was going for as this post began to morph within my weary mind.  Not to mention, I very much appreciate the French / Italian / Latin origins of the word which you can also (after drinking an amber-colored beverage) mean a "Nimble, quick finger".  

One nimble, quick finger fully extended and intended for...  You guessed it - You.

  

Get the point (or, more accurately stated, 'finger')?

Here's the Magic which I'm trying to understand...

The Affordable Care Act was passed by a Democratic Majority in both the House and Senate.  It was passed via 'Reconciliation' because Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi didn't have enough votes to pass it 'normally'.  Nancy said we needed to "Pass the Bill to see what's in the Bill" and Harry just said something like, "Pass the Bill - or else" to his Democratic partners in the Democrat-controlled Senate.  No Republicans in either the House or Senate voted for President Obama's "Landmark Legislation", now officially referred to as, "ObamaCare".  

Remember WAY back when we used to joke about it being called "ObamaCare"?  

Since the Affordable Care Act's ill-conceived deployment on October 1st, 2013, no one says 'ObamaCare' out loud with so much as a smirk on their face.  Not only did the President get his Team to pass this abomination, now his name is firmly etched upon it for all eternity.  When CNN begins calling the ACA 'ObamaCare' - yup, it's ALL his now.   

Post ObamaCare 'launch', we speak in hushed tones, waiting for our health insurance cancellation notice to come in the US Mail.  We sit huddled quietly in our homes, hoping our neighbors (preferably ones we don't care for) will be the ones getting the health insurance cancellation notices as the ObamaCare Healthcare Angel of Death passes our home and hopefully alights somewhere else.  

Several people on my street have begun marking the doorway to their homes with Vick's Vap-O-Rub in an effort to ward off the the foul specter prior to it gaining entrance to their home.  As for myself, I've painted the entire exterior of my home with Preparation H.  

Why?  Because the past five+ years have been nothing less than a huge pain in my rump and if I can't prevent the thing from getting in, at least I can hopefully minimize the swelling, and itching associated with its entry into MY home.     

But here's the thing... 

There's more, (much more) to come - sorry, someone get the on the Internet and let the folks know to make LOTS more Preparation H...

President Obama gave the 'Employer Mandate' a 12-month extension, meaning that he pushed the ObamaCare 'Employer requirement' back a year for those companies who employ more than fifty people.

Why?  

1.  Because he could,  

And, 

2. Because no one in Congress wants to ask uncomfortable questions of the first White-African American President regarding his 'Legacy Landmark Legislation'.  

(If anyone has another explanation, please feel free to share it in the Comment section below - yes, I'd PREFER there be another explanation, offer one if you feel that it fits better than mine as stated here.)

How did he modify the Law?  In a word - Magic.  

The Legislative Branch (Democrats) passed ObamaCare and the Bill was signed into Law by the Executive Branch, a.k.a.: President Barack Obama.  

In July, 2013, President Obama took it upon himself to exempt 'some of the' legislation which HE and his minions passed through Reconciliation (a.k.a.:  'Cheating') in Congress - in effect, re-writing law at the Executive Branch, bypassing further Congressional approval.  

Yes, he over-rode his own legislation 'Extra-Constitutionally' just by...  

Making it up as he went along.

At this point you may be asking yourself, 'Hey, Mike, aren't laws normally passed in the Legislative Branch and approved at the Executive?  Well, yes, normally this is the case, but when you have a skilled Magician working magic to an enthralled (and pardon the expression, a 'Cowed' audience in Congress) no one seems (or wants) to stop the show.

As the ObamaCare juggernaut continues, cancellation letters are being printed by the millions, men and women fret about their ability to afford their 'Federally-Mandated' 'affordable' health care, and new insurance deductibles are in most instances higher than the 'unacceptable' policies the ACA, which forced the insurance cancellations of in the first place.

So, if the President is able to grant 'Companies', 'Firms' and 'Employers' a twelve-month waiver (delay) to allow time for the Law to get figured out by the people who are supposed to be implementing it, why won't the President grant a waiver on those people who are being hurt by the law TODAY?

He's shown that he has the power to do whatever he wants when it comes to overriding the Separation of Powers within the US Government already, so WHY won't he do it again, to the benefit of people suffering under his ill-conceived and single-party legislated Act?

ANSWER:  Because he chooses not to.  HIS Magic is done on HIS Terms - not ours.   

I guess maybe, as 'average Americans' begin to feel the pain inflicted upon them by the "Community Organizer In Chief", they'll also begin to feel the warmth and glow of his legislation in their own households.  I wonder, at this point, should Republicans be pushing to have the Individual Mandate pushed back?  

No.

And while we're at it, let's get rid of the Employer Mandate 'extension' as well - just in time for the 2014 elections.  

Between you and me?  There's not enough Preparation H in the WORLD to prepare what we're going to see once the Employer Mandate kicks in.

You think we've got flaming A-Holes in Washington, DC?  Wait until we, the 'Great Unwashed', begin to feel the magic of ObamaCare in our personal wellness, our finances, and in our daily lives by the end of this year..

But, as the President said, sometimes "maybe you're better off not having the surgery, you may be better off just taking the pain killer".

Sure, the pain killers won't CURE you, but you'll die quietly.   And seriously, the President is getting a such a terrible headache from all of your incessant yammering -- please be considerate of his very important thoughts and go back to fretting quietly as you've done in the past.  

If you can't be quiet, he'll dispatch a "Navigator" to your home to help you find your way back to civility...

Un-Natural Selection

You know what's strange? 

Okay, yes, I will grant you that taping a steak knife to the back of a rodent 'might be' classified as strange - but that's not where I'm going today.

Let's try this - Okay, you know what's REALLY strange?

No, I am not talking about the popularity of Lady Gaga as this is beyond 'really strange' and borders on the 'incomprehensible'.

No.  Not rodents with knives, not Lady Gaga with, um, whatever it is SHE has (let's hope there's a vaccine for it).  Not even Miley Cyrus 'twerking' covers the extent of strange I'm looking for here. (Note to self:  See if 'twerking' is a real word or one of those social media 'things'.)

There's something else 'really strange' that I've been thinking about for a while now.

I'm sure that others have had a similar thought wafting about their head, but I need to once and for all get it off my chest (and lay it firmly upon yours - sorry...  It's my blog - it's how I roll.)

So the thing that it 'really strange' is this...


The Selectivity of Outrage

Outrage:  When a 'White-Hispanic' claims he shot a Black youth in self-defense, everyone within camera or microphone's reach is commenting and condemning George Zimmerman, the 'White-Hispanic', for his actions. 

Every civil rights 'leader' who's ever uttered the phrase 'Social Justice' (either out loud or in front of a mirror at home), the Attorney General of the United States, and the President of the United States each interjected their opinions into this tragedy and the prosecution of a man, prior to (and following) a trial.

Nah, no outrage (a.k.a.:  "nothing to see here"):  When an 88 year-old (White-White) World War II Veteran is beaten to death by two Black youths (White-Blacks) there is no outrage.  In fact, the severity of the beating which lead to the man's death is blamed on the victim's 'defense of himself'. 

Per Spokane Police Chief Frank Straub via NBC.com: 

"These are two young men who just spun out of control."

Belton was found wedged between the two front seats. His family said doctors told them he was battered so badly he would have sustained brain damage and had lost too much blood to survive.

"Our information is that the individual fought back and that may have made this a worse situation," Straub said when asked about the viciousness of the beating.
 
Moos Note:  If ever visiting Spokane, Washington and I decide to kill someone, I'll simply explain to local law enforcement that I simply 'spun out of control' and that IF the victim had only been more - compliant...  I would not have killed him / her.   

No, it makes no sense to me either, but I'm repeating what the Chief of Police said to explain the death of 'Shorty'.  What's most upsetting about the NBC article linked above is that they never mention the victim's full name. 

The murdered man's name was Delbert 'Shorty' Belton. 

He survived Okinawa.  He did not survive the two (White-Black) youths who, according to Police Chief Straub, "just spun out of control".

Perhaps they were merely bored...

Yes, apparently, boredom now kills.

Outrage:  July 23, 2009 - (CNN) -- President Obama said that police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, "acted stupidly" in arresting a prominent black Harvard professor last week after a confrontation at the man's home.

Obama defended Gates on Wednesday night, while admitting that he may be "a little biased," because Gates is a friend.

"But I think it's fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry; No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, No. 3 ... that there's a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately."

The incident, Obama said, shows "how race remains a factor in this society."
 
This event lead up to the hugely publicized Obama 'Beer Summit', hosted by the President to soothe racial tensions (which he stirred up) around the Nation. 

Great job Mr. President!  Thanks for reconciling hundreds of years of racial stress by drinking beer at the White House!!! 

Drinking beer, a great American past-time!  Huh, that's odd, I'm thinking that there is at least one other Great American past-time.  What might it be?

• Filing for unemployment?
• Sitting idly by as the Federal Government strips your rights away?
• Taking stuff from one person who worked for it, and giving it to someone who feels like they deserve it (because they are disadvantaged?)
• No, no, no, the other Great American past-time is...  Baseball!

 

Nah, no outrage (a.k.a.:  "nothing to see here"):  "At this point, the evidence does not support the theory that Christopher Lane was targeted based upon his race or nationality," District Attorney Jason Hicks said in a statement.

...

Chancey Allen Luna, 16, and James Francis Edwards, Jr., 15, have been charged as adults with first-degree murder. Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, is charged with using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and with accessory to first-degree murder. He is considered a youthful offender but will be tried in adult court.

Jones named Luna as the gunman.

Hicks acknowledged that social media posts allegedly made by some of the defendants are racial in nature, but he said "the evidence is insufficient to establish that race was the primary motive" in Lane's slaying.

The Daily Caller reported that racist tweets were posted on an account belonging to Edwards. One tweet from the account reads, "90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM." Another post read, "Ayeee I knocced out 5 woods since Zimmerman court!:)"

The Daily Caller's report noted that 'woods' is used as a derogatory term for white people.

Police Chief Dan Ford said the victim appeared to be chosen at random, and that one suspect told officers that he and the other boys were bored and they followed Lane and killed him for "the fun of it."


Moos Note:  I have no words to adequately describe how I feel regarding someone getting killed due to...  Boredom. 

In the end, two White-Blacks and one White-White set out to kill someone because they have nothing better to do?  They, of course, did not murder Christopher Lane because he was White-White...  They simply murdered him because he 'was' and they 'were' bored. 

No Presidential intervention on behalf of the young man whose life was obliterated by three bored teens, one of whom claimed that he had already killed five White-Whites simply because he '#HATE THEM'.  No 'Big Al' Sharpton, no Jesse 'Sacred Blood' Jackson, nor any other Civil Rights folks have personally lined up to support the family of the slain boy and condemn the killing. 

No marches in the streets, no appearances on television asking that we 'come on people now, smile on each other'. 

None of the usual Civil Rights 'go to folks' have condemned the actions of the three thrill killers. 

Although, Jesse Jackson did TWEET a stern warning after hearing of the murder of Christopher Lane.  It was short.  It was concise.  It was typical.

It said simply...

Our Nation's moral compass is broken.  I believe that a life, ANY life, lost due to violence, driven by hate - is an outrage.  The fact that 'Civil Rights Leaders' and 'Professional Politicians' use the occasion of others' deaths to promote their take on 'Social Justice' ONLY when it fits their personal narrative is darkly offensive to me.

Jesse Jackson, speaking to the Politico on the eve of Martin Luther King, Junior's "I have a dream speech said this: 

“The Tea Party is the resurrection of the Confederacy, it’s the Fort Sumter Tea Party." -- Jesse Jackson

Jackson says that he is “absolutely” convinced that Republican opposition to Obama has more to do with race than it does with actually opposing White House policy.

I say that Jesse Jackson is full of 'Hooey' and might want to get his vision checked.  For if he can only see political opposition through the veil of 'Race', he's getting a single-dimensional view of the issues.  For a 'Civil Rights Leader' who claims that he believed Martin Luther King, Jr.'s message, I can only infer that Jesse Jackson has a significant issue with his hearing also.

After all, how can a man who professes to follow in the footsteps of Martin Luther King, Junior so completely forget the words spoken at the Lincoln Memorial fifty years ago this week?

But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.

We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny.

They have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.

Current 'Civil Rights Leaders' do, in fact, walk alone.  The words Reverend King spoke five decades ago are lost to them.  They pursue status in American History by dividing men rather than by uniting them.

Reverend King was a great man because he did not seek greatness, rather, he sought justice for all men - regardless of race. 

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, President Obama, Eric Holder, et al, may not hear, or see, too well, but the one thing I know for sure is this - regardless of how bad their vision is, they are most certainly NOT color-blind.  

Columbia's Newest Radical - Kathy Boudin!

I heard today that one of Bill Ayer's original 'Weather Underground' folks has a new gig...   teaching at Columbia University in New York.

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.  But, I'll admit it here - I was.

Through the prism of my perspective, if I were involved in the murder of two police officers and a security guard, I'd probably keep my head down, reflect, and prefer to fade away from public view following my 22 year prison sentence.

Sure, I'd WANT to drop off the radar based upon my role in a multiple homicide.  But this 69 year old, Kathy Boudin chick?  Nah, it's time for her to 'get busy' organizing and training the next generation of Radicals, Anarchists, and Progressives...

Because, in essence, it's what they do.  They do not fade away.  They launch Presidential campaigns in their homes, they teach at Universities where they spread the story of 'Social Justice', 'Equality', and 'Fairness'.  They indoctrinate our kids on our dime, and we sit back and wonder how a guy like President Obama gets elected a second time?  Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk.  It is, as they say, what it is...

The Brinks Job:  In 1981, when Kathy Boudin was 38 years old, she and several members of the Weather Underground and the Black Liberation Army robbed a Brinks armored car at the Nanuet Mall, in Nanuet, New York. After Boudin dropped her infant son, Chesa, at a baby sitter's, she took the wheel of the getaway vehicle, a U-Haul truck. She waited in a nearby parking lot as her heavily armed accomplices took another vehicle to a local mall where a Brinks truck was making a delivery. They confronted the guards and gunfire immediately broke out, severely wounding guard Joe Trombino and killing his co-worker, Peter Paige. The four then took $1.6 million in cash and met with Boudin.

An alert high-school student called the police after spotting the gang abandoning the getaway vehicle and entering the U-Haul. A police officer spotted and pulled over the U-Haul, but they could see only Boudin in the driver's seat. Boudin then got out of the cab, and raised her hands.

The police officers who caught them testified that Boudin, feigning innocence, pleaded with them to put down their guns and got them to drop their guard; Boudin said she remained silent, that the officers relaxed spontaneously. After the police lowered their weapons, six of the men in the back of the truck armed with automatic weapons came out of the back of the truck, surprising the four police officers, one of whom, Waverly Brown, was killed instantly.

Boudin and David Gilbert, a Weatherman radical and the father of Boudin's infant son, allegedly acted as decoys as well as getaway drivers: The Brinks robbers the police were searching for were all from the Black Liberation Army and drove a red car. Officer Edward O'Grady lived long enough to empty his revolver, but as he reloaded, he was shot several times with an M16. Ninety minutes later, he died in hospital. The other two officers escaped with only minor injuries. The occupants of the U-Haul scattered, some climbing into another getaway car, others carjacking a nearby motorist while Boudin attempted to flee on foot. An off-duty corrections officer, Michael J. Koch, apprehended her shortly after the shootout. When she was arrested, Boudin gave her name as Barbara Edson.

Three other Black Liberation Army members failed to escape that day. Weathermen Gilbert, Samuel Brown, and Judith Alice Clark crashed their car while making a sharp turn, and were arrested by police. Two days later, Samuel Smith and Nathaniel Burns were spotted in a car in New York. After a gunfight with police that left Smith dead, Burns was captured. Three more participants were arrested several months later.

The majority of the defendants received three consecutive sentences of 25 years to life, making them eligible for parole in the year 2058.

Boudin hired Leonard Weinglass to defend her. Weinglass, a law partner of Boudin's father, arranged for a plea bargain and Boudin pled guilty to one count of felony murder and robbery, in exchange for one twenty-year to life sentence.

And now Kathy Boudin is teaching at Columbia.  An uber-radical progressive role model for all to see.  But will they really SEE her as anything more than a name on a curriculum?

Perhaps she is rehabilitated?  Perhaps she is not?  I do not care.  Whatever God she worships may forgive her but I do not have to.  That's not my job.  My job is to watch over my family, teach them as best I can, and keep them safe.  To keep them away from people like her and her friends.

I guess in the end it all comes down to looking out for the people you love and those who love you.  Kathy B. shouldn't have taken her baby boy to the babysitter that day.  She should have read him a story.  She should have given him a bath.  She should have stayed home and possibly prevented three murders of innocent men with kids of their own.

Post Sequestration - Obamaclypse Now

Well, it's official - today is the first day of the "Worst Days of Your Life".  Last evening as you were scanning cable TV, cruising Facebook, or perhaps just reading a good book, the President ordered those Draconian Cuts he warned you all about.

He issued the very orders which he tried so valiantly to avoid.  He implemented sequestration. 
.
Surprisingly, the Republicans did not bend to the President's will (for once).  President Obama tried to save our Nation 'one more time' - and failed.  Democrats stood ever-ready to answer the call for 'more spending', but nefarious Republicans somehow sucked in their guts, stood tall, and said, "No.  Not this time." 
.
So instead of giving politicians an additional $100 BILLION to spend in 2012 - they only gave themselves an additional $15 BILLION to spend.

Yes,  last evening, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, took a 'meat clever' to the soft, gooey insides of our Nation leaving this very Nation splayed open and quivering uncontrollably on his desk.  He didn't want to do it.  It wasn't the President's fault.  He tried (harder than he's ever tried before) to save us from himself.  He even had a photo-op with Congressional leaders yesterday morning to tell them once again that they were getting ready to enforce a 'really dumb thing'.

He forgot to mention (again) that the 'really dumb thing' was his staff's idea, but facts, as you know, are 'curious things'.  There was no more time for debate, Surgeon-In-Chief Obama was preparing to operate.

Repeatedly the cleaver rose and fell.

Blood speckled the walls. 
.
The President grinned.

In a distant room of the White House a monitor fell silent following a protracted, high-pitched squeal of protest.

When it was over, $85 BILLION lay on the floor of the West Wing.  Cleaved from 2013 bureau budgets the spending pulsed for a moment, fell onto its side and expired.  My God, I can hear the screams of children, the elderly, the sick, the needy, and the unemployed ringing in my ears!  This could be my Tinnitus, but no, I'm pretty sure it's the howling screams of the forgotten, the neglected, and the myriad of yet-ill-conceived spending programs which will never see the light of day.

I am typing this post at 6:25 on the Saturday morning following 'Sequester Friday'.  It appears that the sun is beginning to rise once again in the east.  While it's still early in the day, I have yet to notice any planes falling from the sky, any zombies shambling up my street, nor any starving children left to die at my doorstep (come to think of it, I'd better go check as soon as this post is a 'wrap').

Granted, the increasing amount of light outside may be no more than a headlight from an oncoming train, but I'm pretty sure that it's the sun regardless.  Has the President's cleaver resolved all the Fiscal Ills of our Nation?  No.  Not by a long-shot.

Will the 2.2% spending 'cuts' be painful?  Well, that depends on which agencies are impacted.  As you know, 50% of the funds will come from Defense budgets and the remaining 50% (actually the reduction in the spending INCREASE - lest anyone forget) comes out of domestic programs. 
.
Who will administer the 'less than expected spending increase'?  Well, I actually looked that up.  While the President has said that it 'isn't him', I look to the Congressional Budget Office and find:

The Administration's Office of Management and Budget has sole authority to determine whether a sequestration is required and, if so, the proportional allocations of any necessary cuts.

Perhaps the President is NOT aware, but the Office of Management and Budget DOES report to him.  [Inconvenient Truth #689]

So, who's responsible for those 'Draconian Spending Cuts' as they are doled out?  They will be prescribed to American citizens by people who report directly to the President.  It's going to be hard for President Obama to vote "PRESENT" on this one (as illustrated above, he'll be the guy in the 'usual suspects' line-up with blood speckled across on his white shirt).

President Obama will want to 'duck and cover' per his normal behavioral pattern, but there are a lot of us gnats buzzing around out here with long memories and access to other folks online.

He may forget whose idea this Sequestration thing was, what led up to it, and who decided which cuts are made, but we will not forget.  We g-nats, have a g-knack, for g-facts...

WEATHER UPDATE:    The sun is fully up, it's just past 7:30am.  No planes, no zombies, no starving children on the doorstep (I just looked), and it appears that today is a lot like yesterday, merely a day later.

WASHINGTON TIMES, JULY 6, 2012:   President Obama is eating his way across the Midwest on his two-day campaign bus tour of Ohio and Pennsylvania, but he said it's necessary.

"People've been commenting — I need to gain some weight," the president said in the Ohio town of Poland on Friday morning, as he explained the waistline-stimulus program he's undertaken on his trip.

In less than 24 hours the First Stomach has put down a cheeseburger and fries at Kozy Corners in Oak Harbor, drank a Bud Light at Ziggy's Pub and Restaurant in Amherst, and then began Friday with two eggs, bacon and wheat toast at Ann's Place in Akron.

Eating is a staple of the campaign trail — though Mr. Obama's own habits come under extra scrutiny because his wife, Michelle, has made healthy eating her major project as first lady.

But she is not along on this trip — the president joked she needed to stay home and supervise Malia, their daughter who just turned 14, and her friends — and that means the president has returned to his burger-eating ways.

YAHOO NEWS, JULY 6, 2012:   Put it on a bumper sticker! President Barack Obama told a crowd of supporters in Poland, Ohio, not to worry about him in the face of what he predicts will be a massive onslaught of attack ads.

"You've got these super PACs, millionaires, billionaires writing $10 million checks, just pouring, raining down on my head," he told hundreds of cheering people at Dobbins Elementary School.

"That's alright" someone shouted.

"It is alright, because I'm tough. I'm skinny but I'm tough," Obama said, drawing laughter and cheers from the crowd. "And the main reason it's going to be ok is because of you."

The president's remarks encapsulated one of his campaign's core arguments: That their turnout operation — the 'ground game' in political nerd-speak — will trump what they predict will be Mitt Romney's vast cash advantage.

Obama's bus tour has included stops at a diner, a fruit stand, a pasta sauce company, even a bar.


Upon leaving the  last stop (the bar), the President had a few choice words for his supporters... 

In reality, he probably should have eaten more than he drank.

In my experience, people who are 'tough' normally do not tell people that they are (because it diminishes them, and it typically means they are LYING). 

They show their toughness through the content of their character, the strength of their convictions, and their effectiveness to take responsibility for things which may, or may not, be their problem. 

They find solutions while others take a pass.

Recalling Wisconsin

Yes, I know - it's old news now.  Scott Walker succeeds in his attempt to remain Governor of Wisconsin.  Yay!  Let's all bask in the momentary glow of this little win for the next 27 seconds. 

Why 27 seconds? 

Well, obviously, 25 seconds is NOT enough basking, and 30 seconds will make you appear cocky to the casual observer.  So let's just go with the newly instituted 27-second-rule, all right?

Okay, you good?

Yeah, me too. 

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on the specifics of the Walker win in Wisconsin, but I do have a couple of observations for you to think about over the NEXT 27 seconds (assuming you took the Evelyn Wood Speed Reading Course):

OBSERVATION 1:  I'm listening to Media reports on and off throughout the day, and I keep hearing how close of an election it was (without any reference to the Seven percentage points separating the Winner from the Loser). 

OBSERVATION 2:  I keep hearing how Scott Walker had something like $11 TRILLION in a Swiss Bank account to spend on his recall campaign while Tom Barrett (a.k.a.: The 'Loser') had the cash equivalent of a six-pack of Dr Pepper and a Bologna Sandwich (wrapped in greasy brown butcher's paper) stuffed in his shoe. 

OBSERVATION 3:  A week ago I heard Debbie Wasserman 'What-The-Heck' of the DNC say that the recall election in Wisconsin would be a 'dry run' for the ground game the Democrats will have going into the November elections. 

OBSERVATION 4:  President Obama's sole contribution to the Barrett 'Get Out to Vote' campaign to motivate the base of Democrats, Liberals, and Progressives?  A 'Tweet' sent out at 7:17pm the evening prior to the election which consisted of the following heart-felt motivational message:

“It’s Election Day in Wisconsin tomorrow, and I’m standing by Tom Barrett. He’d make an outstanding governor. -bo,”

According to White House staffers, speaking under condition of anonymity, President Obama attempted a second Tweet which read:

"Tom Barrett's my guy, but I don't really think he's gonna win, because the voters in Wizconsin are Racist... -bo" 

This second Tweet never made it to the President's followers because David Axelrod slapped the BlackBerry to the ground before the President was able to hit SEND.  Axelrod later explained to staff members witnessing the event, "We are saving ALL Race Cards for the November Election.  There's no reason to tip off Republicans NOW as to what our robust re-election strategies will be THEN.  Also, the President misspelled 'Wisconsin', and that would have been embarrassing, considering we've told those idiots that 'bo' is some kind of freaking genius for the past four years..."

OBSERVATION 5:  Class warfare?  Yeah, it works.  Thanks Democrats!!! 


Soooo, why are the five observations above important to Conservatives?  Please feel free to reference back up to the Observations above:

1.  The race was REALLY close right? 

Here's the map from the Huffington Post (I made several small edits.  You'll know them when you see them):

From a purely geographical perspective, Walker CRUSHED Barrett, winning a huge majority of the counties voting on Tuesday.  Yes, I know it doesn't count, but it's odd that there are just so few 'blue' areas on the map, isn't it? 

2.  Okay, so Walker didn't have $11 TRILLION to spend on the election.  Yes, I made that number up (he actually had $16 TRILLION!!!).  But can you blame me for making stuff up as I go, when the Democratic Party points to their lack of funding for their candidate as being the ONLY reason he didn't win?  Seriously dudes, he LOST the last time he ran against Walker.  

Barrett was a flawed candidate representing a flawed ideology.  Suck it up Progressives, Walker did what he said he was going to do, he cut spending, he reigned in excessive Union powers, and he lowered the state unemployment rate, all the while offering workers the 'option' of getting out of Unions and offering alternative benefit solutions.

You guys lost, stop being babies about it and call Al Sharpton.  Maybe he can do some kind of 'March' or something for you and cover you, and him, on MSNBC...

3.  You never thought I'd say it, but here it is, all the same,  "Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, YOU are so RIGHT!!!"

4.  President Obama could NOT have campaigned for Barrett.  He was too busy avoiding the state of Wisconsin while he was travelling OVER Wisconsin for fund-raisers for his own campaign throughout the Midwest - just, you know, never touching the ground in Wisconsin. 

This was a NO-win for the President. 

If the President supported Barrett openly, and Barrett lost, people would believe [SNICKER]) that this was a 'dry run' for the November election and that the President might possibly, um, 'lose'. 

If the President supported Barrett and Barrett actually won, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz's hair would spontaneously combust, sending ribbons of hungry, acrid flames into the air around her head and quite possibly burn down the House of Representatives.  The 'combustion', of course, would be a by-product of head bursting into flames after being 'right' once in her life.

5.  There is a huge lesson to be learned by other Conservatives prior to the November Election... 

Class warfare?  It works.

Scott Walker showed the people of Wisconsin what they made (on average), and then contrasted their average earnings to those of the average state worker.  People tend to pay attention when they realize that they are paying more to public workers than they make themselves.   

According to an article found on USA Today, public sector workers make more, on average, than private sector workers in 41 out of our 50 (or 57, depending upon who's speaking) states.

If Conservatives can figure out how to turn-around the Progressives' tried-and-true Class Warfare conversation on THEM on a National basis, they can guarantee significant wins in the House, Senate, and the White House come November, 2012.  Why?  Because people hate OTHER people for getting over on THEM.   

6.  Oops, sorry, there is NO Number 6...


In conclusion, I wish nothing but the best for those people who fought so long and hard to get rid of Scott Walker.  Here are a few of those freedom-loving waifs who only want the BEST for Wisconsin - expressing their support for Tom Barrett on the day of the recall election. 

Pay particular attention to the "Dismantle Democracy - One Bill At  A Time" sign!  Yes, they are doing whatever they can...

I TOLD you the colors were there for a reason.

Some of you (not mentioning names here, but you know who you are) said that I was "Nuts". You said that I was "Delusional".

In many areas, the “Occupy Movement” is linking up with the National American Wants to Work Week of Actions, Oct. 10-16.

No doubt the “Arab Spring” demonstrations and those that exploded in Wisconsin, Ohio and elsewhere have inspired it. But underlying it all is the economic crisis, the massive unemployment and growing realization that nothing is getting better, and in fact we may be slipping into a “double dip” crisis. The crushing student debt and the feeling of being locked out of society with no future compound this.


The movement is the newest wrinkle in the all-people’s upsurge against the banks and corporations and reflects a new level of class-consciousness.


While there is a wide range of political and ideological trends, there is a consensus against corporate greed, getting money out of politics, taxing the rich and putting people before profits.


A big challenge for the CPUSA and left, progressive movements is to link these demonstrations with the labor led all-people’s coalition and help deepen understanding that the path to progress must be through electoral and political action including defeating Republican Tea Party reaction in 2012.

To have a positive impact, the CPUSA and YCL must be a part of the “Occupy” movement, participating at every level and building greater local support for the actions among labor and progressive forces.
