I 'Seek' No More...

I have sought truth.

I have sought enlightenment.

I have sought honesty.

My search finally over...

I have found an honest Democrat.

A Democrat who says what she believes, regardless of the political fallout.

A Democrat who is 'all in' for the down-trodden, the oppressed, the...

Illegal Maids and Manual Laborers who clip her bushes and scrub her tub

Yes, I have found a Champion with whom I can fully throw my (substantial) weight behind - Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, I give you...

Alex Sink!!! -D, FL

NewsMax.com:  During a heated debate against Republican candidate David Jolly on Tuesday, Sink made her call for immigration reform, The Tampa Bay Times reported.

"We have a lot of employers over on the beaches that rely upon workers, and especially in this high-growth environment, where are you going to get people to work to clean out hotel rooms or do our landscaping?" Sink said in response to a question about the issue

America, Alex Sink wants to KNOW...  Where WILL you get the labor to clean your toilets, scrub your floors, trim your shrubs and spread manure 'all over the place' without these hard-working 'imported' servants?

Shoot, if they were here LEGALLY, employers would have to pay them a minimum wage, they'd need to send tax dollars to the state, they'd set aside some of their pay for Social Security, and, in general, they'd enhance to the collective well-being of the United States!

In short, they'd have to get paid what they are worth vs. what Ms. Sink believes that they are worth (a.k.a.:  Next to nothing).

Thank YOU, Alex Sink, -D, FL, for letting America know how YOU feel about the value of illegal immigrants and your desire to keep them 'on the outside' and 'in their place' when it comes to the American Dream by letting them know EXACTLY what their place is in this Nation...

Scrubbing toilets and moving 'other' crap around!!!

The Democrat Party IS the place where aspirations for a better life...

Go to die.

Alex Sink - An honest Democrat.

Seriously, who saw this coming???

Silencing Julie Boonstra (Two Posts in One)

.
POST 1:
..
L.A. Times, September 21, 2014:  FCC suspends study that sought information on newsroom operations
.
On Friday, the FCC said Wheeler agreed that "survey questions in the study directed toward media outlet managers, news directors and reporters overstepped the bounds of what is required." An agency spokesman added that "any suggestion that the FCC intends to regulate the speech of news media or plans to put monitors in America's newsrooms is false."
.
Commissioner Pai said the decision to suspend the survey is "an important victory for the 1st Amendment."

The FCC plans to continue with the pilot test without the questions regarding journalistic practices.

.

The above, of course, refers to February 10, 2014 report by the Wall Street Journal that the FCC decided to study newsrooms to see how stories to be 'reported' are selected, how stories are reported upon, perceived 'Station Bias', and how the reporting organization assures that the community gets 'Critical Information' content delivered by the reporting organization.  If this smells a little like FCC over-reach, well, you ain't smelled nothing yet.
.
The good news?  Within two weeks of being brought out into the open by the folks at the Wall Street Journal, then picked up by both Right / Left-leaning blog sites, The Blaze, Hannity and Limbaugh Radio Shows...
.
The FCC reconsidered, and told the world, that the:
.
"FCC plans to continue with the pilot test without the questions regarding journalistic practices."
.
Great!  Super Groovy Cool!  Yay America!  The First Amendment lives!  But hey, what's up with that raspy, irregular noise it's making beneath the ObamaCare (Affordable Care Act) provided Oxygen Tent?
.
Breathe in.
..
Breathe out.
.
Breathe in.
.
Breathe...  Hold that thought
.
.
POST TWO:
.

.
Meet Julie Boonstra, of Dexter, Michigan.
.
She was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia five years ago. In October 2013, along with an estimated 225,000 of her fellow Michiganders, she received a letter from her insurance provider informing her that her plan would be discontinued in 2014 and that she would have to purchase alternative coverage.
.
After weeks of unsuccessfully attempting to sign up for insurance at the HealthCare.gov site, she was finally able to enroll in a plan.
.
The new insurance, she hoped, would provide her with the care and medication which would keep her alive...
.
Summing up where we are thus far:
.
  • Julie Boonstra has leukemia,
  • She had an insurance plan she liked,
  • She was told by President Barack Obama that if she 'liked her plan, she could keep her plan',
  • She lost her plan due to ObamaCare and because of (and Exclusively as a result of) Democrat Legislators voting for it,
  • She was given an option for a new plan which lowers her monthly payment, but increases her out of pocket expenses of her cancer-treatment prescriptions,
  • Some of her necessary prescription medications have NO coverage under her new insurance, forcing her to pay 100% of their cost out of her own dwindling funds,
  • She is not happy that her prior insurance was taken away,
  • She has her new plan ONLY because men and women like her local Congressional representative, and other Democrats knew what she needed far better than she did, and,
  • As a result, she could NOT keep her plan,
  • She, like the rest of us, was lied to by the President, the 'then Speaker' Pelosi, current leader of the Senate Reid, and 'most' Democrats in Congress
.
Months later, she filmed the following one-minute video clip in opposition to her local Congressman, Gary Peters's, (D-MI) participation in her personal health care debacle.
.
Here's the clip:
.

 .
Shortly after the spot ran on local Television, the station received a letter entitled, "Unsupported Advertisement by Americans for Prosperity", from the firm Perkins & Coie in Washington, DC demanding that they stop running the ad.  The letter's issuance was requested, not surprisingly, by "Peters for Michigan", Gary Peters' re-election committee.
 .
The letter, reads in part:
 .
"For the sake of both FCC licensing requirements and the public interest, your station should immediately require AFP (Americans for Prosperity) to provide the factual documentation for its claims if you are going to continue airing this advertisement.
.
...
.
Unlike federal candidates, independent political organizations like AFP do not have a "right to command the use of broadcast facilities."  See CBS v. DNC, 412 U.S. 94, 113 (1973).  Because you do not need to air this advertisement, your station bears responsibility for its content when you do grant access.  See Felix v. Westinghouse Radio Stations, 186 F.2d 1, 6 (3d Cir. 1950), cert. denied, 314 U.S. 909 (1950).
.
...
.
Failure to prevent the airing of "false and misleading advertising" may be "probative of an underlying abdication of licensee responsibility" that can be cause for the loss of a station's license.  See Cosmopolitan Broad. Corp. v. FCC, 581 F.2d 917, 927 (D.C. Cir. 1978).
.
We can be reached at (202) 628-6600 if you have any questions regarding this letter.  Please contact us regarding any evidence that AFP is able to provide regarding is advertisement on your station as soon as possible.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
.
The Obama Administration, serving up Poop Sandwiches to 'most' Americans - since 2009!

.
And thank YOU, Gary Peters (D-MI), President Obama, and all of your lock-stepped Democratic Buddies in Congress who made this Health Care Plan such a vibrant, educational and exciting program from all those whose Health Care has been impacted by it!
..
Yeah, if I'm running for public office, I'm pretty sure the first fight I would pick in my campaign would be with a Female Cancer Patient who decided to take her personal ObamaCare story public.  Sure, what could go wrong there???
..
The irony of the first and second sections of this post, is of course, is that the same week the FCC decides NOT to intrude into the news business, a career-politician from Michigan has his attorneys draft a cease and desist letter to minimize opposition against him, by...  Using the FCC as their primary weapon of choice.
.
The folks who forced this legislation down our throats via non-standard legislative procedures (reconciliation), are now relying upon other Federal Agencies (they fund) to shut down any and all opposition to them.
.
IF, as I've heard said, "You never stand so tall when you stoop to help a child..."
.
THEN, could you fairly amend that quote to read that, "You never stoop so low as when you use your attorney's and the FCC to attack the credibility of a woman fighting cancer"?
. .
Yes, that kind of works, doesn't it?
 .
I'm thinking that between now and the months leading up to November will be an excellent period of time in which to share your feelings about this, and any other concerns you may have regarding the current make-up of Congress.

Use your voice and share Julie Boonstra's story and other associated legislative over-reach before the FCC, Administration, or other Progressive groups decide that your voice is unnecessary to the conversation.
 .
It's called 'Free Speech' for a reason.  Don't believe me, click on the 'Free Speech' link and the US Courts link will explain it to you.
.
And it's still Number 1 on The United States' Constitution (well, it was, the last time I looked)...
.
But the time's, they are a-changin'...

California Scheming... On a Cold Winter's Day

"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."
-- Albert Einstein
.
I find it fitting that on the home page for Covered California they feature a child holding her hands over her Father's eyes.  Maybe he doesn't want to see what happens next with Socialized Health Care either?
.
Yes, I'm a bit late to the party, but now that I've catching up on things that have been bugging me for a while, it's time to pull the cork from the pig.
..
And regarding ObamaCare's cork once that thing's pulled, it ain't going back in...
.
The folks implementing the Health Care Exchange in California have done what Big Government lackies do best...  They've wasted a LOT of "other people's" money.
 .
On what?  Well, let's see what they've been spending the money on...
.
A Barack Obama Impersonator:
.

.

A Richard Simmons Dance Party Competition:
.

.
The above segments represent only a small portion of the 6-Hour LIVE streaming Covered California 'Brain-Wash-athon' to encourage young (and stupid) Californians to sign up on the state's health exchange.
.
While the 'performers' contributed their time; production, distribution, and other expenses for this embarassing program ran up a tab of $1.37 MILLION - funded by...  The nice folks of California.
.
Personally, I'd pay $20 to NEVER have to watch either video again.  Perhaps we should TWEET this to the Left Coast as a fundraising idea for future Infommercials?
.
"Send us $20 and we'll block your computer's IP Address...  FOREVER!"
.
Following the event, I found the following online:  According to Cal Watchdog, Covered California will probably face a $78 million shortfall in the next year; its 2012–13 budget included $74 million for advertising and marketing.
.
Bottom Line:  Covered California is projected to LOSE $78 MILLION while spending $74 MILLION on quality programming as exhibited by those snippets above.  So you lose $4 MILLION as a result of your advertising budget of $74 MILLION?  Wow, Blue States must be clamoring to get in on this action.
.
This leaves a question for the folks in California, how will THEY get more more money by signing up more people than they have already - especially since the people running the system are looking to RICHARD SIMMONS to motivate kids to sign?
.
Oops, why did I have to ask the question???
..

.
The question was answered this morning, February 16, 2014, via a dispatch run in the "Daily Democrat" entitled, simply enough:
.
Calif. bill would insure people in US illegally
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Immigrants living in the country illegally would be able to buy health insurance through the state of California under a bill introduced by a state senator.
.Only U.S. citizens can buy policies under the Affordable Care Act through health exchanges such as Covered California.
.
."Excluding people from access to care hurts the overall health of our communities, and does not reflect California values," Sen. Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens, said Friday at a press conference at a Los Angeles community health center.
.
....
.
.About 2 million immigrants are living in California without legal permission, the most of any state.
.
.Imelda Plascencia moved to the U.S. from Mexico when she was 5. Plascencia, who described herself as being in the country illegally, suffers from gallstones and has waited in emergency rooms for treatment.
.
."My health has been declining," the 28-year-old said at the news conference.
.
.Immigrant advocates welcomed the bill.
.
."If people are given the opportunity to pay for affordable health care, they will," Joseph Villela, director of policy and advocacy for the Coalition for Humane Immigration of Los Angeles, told the Daily News of Los Angeles. "It's a long shot, but it is the first official bill that will seek to promote health care for all."
.
.
And thus it begins, the expansion of ObamaCare even PRIOR TO the complete implementation of ObamaCare.
 .
Gee, who saw THAT coming?
.
That's a rhetorical question, you don't have to answer it.
.
Oh, one last thing, when dealing with Pigs, Poop, and the Feds?
 .
Like I said at the beginning, the cork NEVER goes back in...
.
Now does it, big fella?
.

Nope, I didn't think it did...

Weathering Physics

.
And now for something...  Completely different.
.
Today I'd like to spend just a few moments speaking of Quantum Mechanics.  And specifically - the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.  (I only wish I were on TV doing it.)
.
As everyone knows, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle is any of a variety of mathematical inequalities asserting a fundamental limit to the precision with which certain pairs of physical properties of a particle known as complementary variables, such as position x and momentum p, can be known simultaneously.
.
That formula, as you are well aware, is:
.

.
Werner Heisenberg stated that the more precisely the position of some particle is determined, the less precisely its momentum can be known, and vice versa. The formal inequality relating the standard deviation of position σx and the standard deviation of momentum σp was derived by Earle Hesse Kennard later that year and by Hermann Weyl in 1928, where ħ is the reduced Planck constant.
.
The original heuristic argument that such a limit should exist was given by Heisenberg, after whom it is sometimes named the Heisenberg principle. This ascribes the uncertainty in the measurable quantities to the jolt-like disturbance triggered by the act of observation. Though widely repeated in textbooks, this physical argument is now known to be fundamentally misleading.  [Credit:  Wikipedia]
.
Okay, everyone 'got that'?
.
Great.  We will speak of Quantum Physics no more.
.
Why?
.
Because OBVIOUSLY, I am not a Physicist.  And, if I'm being honest with you (as I almost-always am) I don't know what any of the above references mean.  To my extensive 'Non-Physics-Laden-Mind', the above looks like a formula for figuring out how to get the Eight Ball in the corner pocket while playing pool as it has something to do with speed, distance, and someone used the phrase 'mathematical inequalities' which probably means 'Tommy lost money on the bet in the pool room'...
.
My extensive relationship with Physics begins (and ends) after Googling 'Quantum Physics' and scanning for 'deep' sounding topics to copy and paste into the section above.
.
Boom.  Done.
.
So why do I speak of something of which I know nothing about?
.
  • Because I can.
  • Because you are reading it, aren't you?
  • Because it sounds complex, and you're probably just 'going with it' - most likely giving me the benefit of the doubt?
  • And lastly, I want to make a point.
.
Hey, don't get mad at me because I was pulling your leg by using 'Big Words' and droning on about stuff I don't understand.  It happens all the time on your Alphabet Soup of morning news broadcasts.
.
Please do not hold me to a higher standard than you hold the folks at CBS...
.

.
February 13, 2014, 'CBS This Morning':
.
Guest Michio Kaku, a physics professor from New York City College [Yes, a physics professor, neither a 'Meteorologist' nor a 'Climatologist', but rather a 'Physics Professor' is now the CBS News Climate Change Expert?].
.
Hmm, if his Weather Gig doesn't work out, I wonder how he'd do as a professional pool shark?  Since he appears to do extremely well working all the angles, momentum calculations, etc.???
.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Professor Michio Kaku and the cracker jack roundtable of 'CBS This Morning's Talking Heads', Live and Without a Net (they do, however, mention a bucket)...
 .
.
CHARLIE ROSE: Well, and California just got about twenty inches of rain from a pineapple express, but that state is far from ending its drought emergency. CBS News contributor Michio Kaku is a physics professor at the City College of New York. Good morning.

MICHIO KAKU: Good morning.

ROSE: So what's causing all this?

KAKU: Well, the wacky weather could get even wackier. What we're seeing is that the jet stream and the polar vortex are becoming unstable. Instability of historic proportions. Now think of the polar vortex as a bucket, a swirling bucket of cold air. However, the walls are weakening. Cold air is spilling out, spilling out over the walls of the bucket. And the question is, why? Why is this polar vortex weakening? We think it's because of the gradual heating up of the North Pole. The North Pole is melting.

ROSE: Global warming.

KAKU: That excess heat -- that excess heat generated by all this warm water is destabilizing this gigantic bucket of cold air, weakening this low pressure region, causing cold air to spill out over the United States. So that's the irony, that heating could cause gigantic storms of historic proportions.

O'DONNELL: We get this spilling out of the bucket, right? So but we see this snow in the Midwest and the south, why then has California been the driest on record? I mean, look at the snow pack in the Sierra's. Any skier knows out there they have so little snow pack. Huge drought.

KAKU: Because a lot of the weather, the warm -- the moisture-laden air which should go to California is being diverted into Canada, where it freezes, and it falls on your backyard. So in some sense there's the link between what's happening in California as the jet stream diverts, diverts the moisture-laden air over Canada and then it snows on the United States.

KING: I'm trying to follow you. I'm really trying to follow you. But does this explain why Niagra Falls is frozen and why it's warm in Sochi? It's all connected to the same thing, correct?

KAKU: It's connected. If you take a look at...

ROSE: Globally.

KING: Globally, yeah.

KAKU: ...at the jet stream, you see that England is flooding right now, Latin America is warm, while California has a drought. We're talking about instabilities caused by the eratic nature of the jet stream.

KING: What can be done about it, Professor? Anything we can actually do about it?

KAKU: Well, the bad news is that the north polar region continues to rise in temperature, it seems to be irreversible at a certain point, so we may have to get used to a new normal. That is, a north polar region that is melting, causing more instability in this bucket, causing more things to spill out, which means more extremes. Some winters could be very mild, other winters could be horrendous.

O'DONNELL: And you said 2014 is gonna be the hottest on record?

KAKU: It's shaping up that this year could be one of the hottest years on record. The decade that just passed, it was the hottest decade ever recorded in the history of science.

ROSE: Michio, you know if this physics thing doesn't work out, you can be a weather man.

[LAUGHTER]

O'DONNELL: You could try it.

KING: Professor, thank you very much. I think he's speechless.

.
Summing up as concisely as possible...
.
  1. The North Pole is melting because 'heat rises', and north is 'up' right?,
  2. Our cold/hot/wet/dry weather bucket is overflowing (dependent upon where you are),
  3. Global Climate Change means that weather can get 'really really bad', or 'be really, really normal'
  4. 2014 WILL BE the hottest year on record, in the history of the world, and,
  5. If the Physics thing doesn't work out, Professor Kaku can be a weather man (all the while acknowledging that he IS NOT one today)
.
I heard about this segment from my boss who actually watched this show prior to driving through our 'most recent' snow event.  He was very concerned.  I know, because this is what he told me, "Mike, I am very concerned about our weather..."
.
See, I told you that he was very concerned.
.
Here you have a well-known (and 'interesting-looking') professor of Physics giving his take on Global Climate Change to unsuspecting Americans all across the Nation, and for that matter...  The World!
.
AND, topping off this poop-sandwich-of-a-weather-forecast is the dire prediction that...
.
"the bad news is that the north polar region continues to rise in temperature, it seems to be irreversible at a certain point..."
.
Notice that he never says if we are at this point or not (because he doesn't know), but also keep in mind that...
.
He's a Physics guy.
.
He is NOT an expert on Global Climate Change / Global Warming / or the Menapausal Mood Swings of Mother Nature in general.  He, as explained in great detail above, is basically a POOL SHARK.

.
End of lesson.
.
Go about and enjoy your life.
.
But do it as quickly as possible...
.
Because there's nothing you can do!!!  You're going to die either a hot (yet possibly cold), or dry (yet possibly wet) and a necessarily & completely unavoidable meteorological-related death!!!
.
So why all the fuss about health care for everyone???  We're all gonna burn (or freeze) anyway...
.
As for me, I'm heading out to shovel my driveway (for the 14th time this week) because frozen white heat is again accumulating where I park my car.

.
Predictable as ever, my 'Weather Bucket' overflows once more...

The Minimum Rage

.
I find it incredibly interesting that the President of the United States is railing against 'Inequality' in a Nation, especially knowing the he has set the tone in America for the past five years.
.
It begs that several questions be asked:
.
.
Listening to the President speak during the State of the Union, and again over many intervening tax-payer funded campaign stops (raising money for the DNC), I wonder if he awoke one day from an alternative Universe, amazed to find that he is, in THIS Universe...
.
President of the United states

.
Resident Obama, compared to President Harry S. Truman, finds that (not only) does the Buck NOT 'stop here', but he does not even know that the 'Buck is coming' until someone within his Administration tells him that Fox News has discovered that he has an issue within his Administration.  This guy doesn't need more staff members, we need to buy him BASIC CABLE so he can keep abreast of what's happening during his Residency.
.
I'm cutting the man a bit of slack because it's not like he ever had a private-sector job in which he had to produce (anything), make a profit (or drive down expenses to, at best, 'break-even'), or cover a payroll using his own funds (vs. taking money from everyone, and passing it along (by 'spreading the wealth around') to - others more 'deserving' of it due to the Inequality which pervades HIS Residency)...

.
But I am intrigued by a couple of things:
.
  1. In the most recent State of the Union Address, President Obama called for raising the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour.  In the prior year's State of the Union, he committed that the minimum wage be increased to $9.50 per hour.  In case you missed it, the minimum wage in 2013 was NOT increased, just as the 2014 'wish' list item will not be.  So, what happened during the past year which requires an increase in the minimum wage of $.60 per hour?  Surely, the 'pent up demand' of high paying jobs would make this unnecessary...  Why?  (See 2)
  2. During the State of the Union, the President dared Congress to extend Unemployment Benefits all the while, telling us (yes, in the same speech) how his job-creation policies have created (or saved?) Million upon Millions of new jobs.  It appears counter-intuitive that in a land of such great opportunity under the Resident of the United States that a further extension of benefits would need be considered.  Based upon his speech, he should be announcing a reduction in Unemployment benefit terms vs. a request to extend them yet again.
  3. Last week the CBO announced that ObamaCare will reduce the number of full-time workers in the US by 2.5 million by 2024.  The White House's official storyline on this:  Press Secretary Jay Carney claimed that 2.5 million Americans leaving the workforce was a good thing, because they would no longer be “trapped in a job.”
.
Odd, but when I got my first job washing dishes in the local diner two months' shy of my thirteenth birthday, I, apparently, was mistaken in knowing that having a job would 'set me free' to buy things I wanted, to pay my own way to the local movie theater, and would allow me to save money for the car I might one day own.
.
I was so stupid back then.  Yup, I worked for $1.75 per hour and I was, for the most part, insanely happy.  Had I known that someone is Washington, DC was going to give me everything I wanted, I may not have worked so hard all those years ago.
.
But here's the thing...
.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to be a dishwasher for the rest of my life.
.
And, as luck would have it (the harder I / you work, turns out, the 'luckier' I / you get), I became the short-order cook, made more money, worked the counter, earned tips from customers, and then found a second job at a steak and seafood restaurant where I [gasp!] made a much higher hourly wage, ate like a king, and met some really excellent people.  I guess I should feel guilty about working two jobs during the summer and over weekends during college, knowing that I was taking a second job out of the Economy for someone 'more deserving' of it, but in reality, I didn't then, and I don't now.  I worked 50 to 75 hours per week and I was saving money so if I wanted something - I could buy it myself, without asking anyone else for their permission, or their funding of it.
.
I didn't want to have my future dependent upon someone else.  I wanted a job.  I wanted what used to pass for as 'The American Dream'...
.
In 2014, being able to NOT work full-time, this, according to paid professionals within the Obama Administration, IS the American Dream.  This explains volumes about their policies, doesn't it?  They look at full-time employment as a necessary evil, whereas I look at it as a privilege.
.
Where did these people come from?  One possible answer, of course, is 'Kenya', but that would be a cheap joke.  Between you and me?  We have enough cheap jokes in office today, we don't need any more here.

Instead, I wanted to take a moment to remind you folks about something we learned about in History / Social Studies / Government classes in school.  What is it?  Namely that the first three words of the United States Constitution, "We the people".
.
Newsflash - the Founders were talking about US.

We are the People.
 .
And most of US continue to be sleeping at the wheel.

The next time you hear Mr. Obama utter the word 'Inequality' (although, over the past week, the 'Inequality' word has magically morphed into 'Opportunity', so feel free to add this to your Obama Speech drinking game), run to your nearest phone and call each of the following numbers:

House Switchboard:  (202) 224-3121
. Senate Switchboard:  (866) 220-0044
. White House Switchboard:  (202) 456-1111

 .
Tell whomever answers that the phone you want government out of the Minimum Wage business and that you would prefer that businesses decide what work is worth.

It's time to push back with a bit of 'Minimum Rage' of our own.

Hey, our Nation was BORN screaming and kicking.  Time for us to get back to our roots...

Kicking, screaming, and in general, making a nuisance of ourselves.
